The Complete Price Guide to Watches

Want to sell your antique pocket watch?? Please send us the following information in an email.

1. MOVEMENT: Most important is the serial number and any other data stamped or engraved on the bottom side of the movement (opposite the dial side, where you can see the wheels turning) and does it run well, have any rust or broken parts. A good detailed close up photo of the movement is helpful.

2. CASE: Any data stamped on the dial and inside covers of the watch case itself --case manufacturer, metal content, etc (Serial numbers on inside of cases are NOT traceable--we do not need case serial numbers) . Is there a metal cover over the dial? (This is called a hunter case). Are there any scratches, dings, brass or other metal showing where the gold is worn, etc

3. Dial: Condition of the dial (any scratches, chips, or hairline cracks visible under magnification) and any data stamped or painted on the dial.
