Information about American Waltham Watch Company Waltham Watch Company roots go back to 1850. They were known as American Horology Company, then Boston Watch Company, then Appleton Tracy & Company. It was first know as The American Waltham Watch Company in 1859. Various watches were produced from 1853 until 1957. The Waltham group of founders advanced American horology greatly and included names like Bacon, Church, Davis, Dennison, Fogg, Howard, Marsh, Webster and Woerd. Waltham produced many fine quality watches including railroad watches and ladies pocket watches.
