How to Wear your Garment Clip Chain

In Victorian times, garment clip chains were worn by women on the pocket of a blouse or waist band of a skirt and were worn by men clipped directly on the trouser pocket or vest pocket. Usually lighter weight chains are attached to the garment clip and the clip must be opened by flipping the back mechananism, inserting the material between the mechanism and then flipping it into locking position. This holds the clip in place where you can then attach your watch to the swivel end. Garment clips today still can be used in a variety of ways such as a trouser pocket, blouse pocket, shawl, jacket, etc.
